English: Thai folding book (samut khoi) containing a fortune-telling manual (Phrommachat), the text illustrated with the twelve animals of the Thai zodiac and their associated attributes, avatars and plants, with ink and colours on paper, dating to c. 1845. The manuscript is accompanied by a handwritten French translation dated 1847, possibly by Bishop Jean-Baptiste Pallegoix, the vicar apostolic of eastern Siam and a close confidant of King Mongkut (Rama IV) of Siam.
