This is disputable ! the plaque having been put there in 2001
A plaque has been on the look out at Portreath for many more years
indicating that it was on that spot that Lawrence Binyon composed the famous
poem there - i am more inclined to believe the later - i use to go there with
my grandmother some 60 years ago and the story has been handed down in the
Methodist churches locally.
