Inscriptions Reminíſcere miſerationũ tuarum Dñe et miſericordie tue que a ſeculo ſunt ne unq̈m dominentur inimici n͠ri libera nos deus iſrael, ex omnibꝫ anguſtijs nr͠is. [Reminíscere miseratiónum tuarum, Dómine, et misericórdiæ tuæ, quæ a sǽculo sunt: ne unquam dominéntur nobis inimíci nostri: líbera nos, Deus Israël, ex ómnibus angústiis nostris.] [Remember, Lord, thy commiserations, and thy mercies, which are from the beginning of the world: never let our enemies have dominion over us: deliver us, God of Israel, out of all our tribulations.]
The inscription is the introit for the Mass for the Second Sunday of Lent, which is based on Psalm 24 (Hebrew 25).
