English: Folded Old Red Sandstone rock formation — at St Annes Head in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
  • The sedimentary Old Red Sandstone, laid down in the Devonian period, is intensely folded by collision of tectonic plates during the Carboniferous period, known as the Variscan Orogeny.
