Description
Norsk bokmål: FLK «Solglimt» var et flytende hvalkokeri eid av det norske hvalfangstselskapet Atlas (Chr. Nielsen & Co, Larvik), senere av Odd (AS Thor Dahl, Sandefjord). Skipet ble bygget ved Blohm und Voss i Hamburg og i 1900 overlevert rederiet Holland America Line som passasjerskipet DS «Potsdam». «Potsdam» ble i 1915 solgt til Svenska Amerika Linjen og omdøpt DS «Stockholm». I 1928 ble skipet solgt til det nyetablerte hvalfangstselskapet Atlas og bygget om til flytende hvalkokeri ved Götaverken og omdøpt «Solglimt». I 1941 ble hun oppbragt av tyskerne under fangst i Antarktis og overført til den tyske marine. Hun ble omdøpt «Sonderburg» og benyttet som depotskip, før hun i 1944 ble senket av tyskerne for å blokkere den franske havnen i Cherbourg
