DescriptionFluorescence in beer @ 450nm illumination.jpg
English: Green fluorescence is produced in beer when illuminated with a blue laser pointer lasing at 450 nm. The beer (a Czech pilsner) fluoresces due to various aromatic amino-aids and other organic molecules dissolved in the solution. Fluorescence emission occurs between 500 nanometers (light blue) and 600 nanometers (amber yellow), encompassing all green/ish wavelengths.
