English: The Florida Avenue Meeting House of the Friends Meeting of Washington (Quakers) located at 2111 Florida Avenue, NW in the Sheridan-Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The Colonial Revival style building was designed by Leon Chatelain, Jr. in 1930. Notable individuals who have worshiped at the Meeting House include President Herbert Hoover and his wife, Lou Henry Hoover.
The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property to the Sheridan-Kalorama Historic District. Its 2009 property value is $12,008,530. |
