DescriptionFletching Bluebell Railway train at Sheffield Park in 1961 geograph-2687078-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Bluebell Railway train at Sheffield Park in 1961.
View NW, towards Horsted Keynes: ex-LB&SCR Oxted - East Grinstead - Lewes line, closed 3/58, restored from 8/60 northwards by the pioneering Bluebell Railway Preservation Society from Sheffield Park to Horsted Keynes, then subsequently towards East Grinstead. Here is the ex-SE&C Wainwright class P 0-6-0T No. 323, built 7/1910, withdrawn as No. 31323 in 6/60 and sold directly to the Bluebell Railway: it carried the name 'Bluebell' only until 1998. The stock is from the ex-Metropolitan Railway Chesham branch. At the other end of the train is the ex-LB&SC 0-6-0T 'Stepney' and the combination is shuttling between Horsted Keynes and Sheffield Park.
