Верхние две полосы – украинских национальных цветов: жёлтая и голубая. Нижняя полоса – чёрная. Она символизирует плодородный чернозём и тоску по упразднённому слободскому казачеству. Українська: Сучасний прапор острогозького козацтва, неофіційний символ Східної Слобожанщини. Верхні дві смуги – українських національних кольорів: жовта та блакитна. Нижня смуга – чорна. Вона символізує родючий український чорнозем та тугу за скасованою слобідською козаччиною. English: A simplified version of the modern flag of the Ostrogozhsk Cossacks, the unofficial symbol of Eastern Sloboda Ukraine. The upper two stripes are Ukrainian national colors: blue and yellow, which are often interpreted as the sky and wheat fields. The lower black stripe symbolizes fertile black soil (сhernozem) and sadness for the abolition of the Ukrainian Cossackhood.
