English: These are my own designs using MS Paint 2015 Photoshop 2018 and Lunapic Background editor. It is an illustration of the command flag Richard I of England as Commander in Chief, English Fleet in 1189 the flag was used until 1198 when it was changed to show three lions until 1340. It is based upon the descriptions given in the book British flags, their early history, and their development at sea; with an account of the origin of the flag as a national device by Perrin, W. G. (William Gordon), 1874-1931 published in 1922, Chapter IV Flags of Command pp. 73-109. In use from 1625 to 1864 in the Kingdom of England, Great Britain and United Kingdom. In use from 1625 to 1864.
