Flag of Narnia. In Chapter 12 of the book The Horse and His Boy, the "great banner of Narnia" is described as a "red lion on a green ground." Chapter 4 of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Chapter 16 of The Silver Chair (both of which take place over 1,000 years later) refer to a "golden lion" on the flag. Chapter 12 of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe refers to a "red rampant lion," but the Pauline Baynes illustrations to that chapter and to Chapter 4 of Dawn Treader and Chapter 12 of The Horse and His Boy (see http://narnia.wikia.com/wiki/Corin) show the lion courant on a long triangular pennant.
