Флаг представляет собой прямоугольное полотнище с соотношением сторон 2:3. Состоит из двух вертикальных полос: в левой части — зелёного цвета, справа — белого цвета (образуя прямоугольник). На белом фоне флага посередине — расположен круг из 12 красных звездочек, символизирующих 12 сельских поселений, входящих в состав муниципального образования „Малгобекский муниципальный район“.
