Прямоугольное полотнище зелёного цвета, с соотношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее композицию герба Бураевского района: косой нитевидный крест жёлтого цвета, поверх которого пониженный бегущий волк Кук-Буре белого цвета; крест сопровождён в углах тамгами башкирских родов Танып (вверху), Киргиз (внизу), Елан (справа) и Тазлар (слева) жёлтого цвета.
