English: The IJtunnel in Amsterdam opened for bicyclists on Tuesday May 28th 2019 because of public transport strikes. Because there is no other easy way for cyclists to reach the North part of the city, the tunnel (normally for motorised transport only) opened for cyclists for the duration of the strike.
Nederlands: De IJ-tunnel in Amsterdam is beschikbaar voor fietsers op dinsdag 28 mei 2019 vanwege stakingen in het openbaar vervoer. Aangezien er geen andere manier voor fietsers is om Amsterdam-Noord te bereiken wordt de tunnel (normaal alleen voor gemotoriseerd verkeer) geopend voor fietsers en snorfietsen tijdens de staking. |
