Hierdie eksemplaar groei langs die Paul Kruger-plaket by die Universiteit van Pretoria, en is gekweek van 'n stiggie komende van Boekenhoutfontein, voormalige plaas en opstal van Paul Kruger. Gekneusde blare van hierdie spesie skei na bewering 'n kenmerkende ertjiegeur af.
English: Leaf venation of a Wonderboom fig. The specimen grows beside the Paul Kruger plaque at the University of Pretoria, and was propagated from a fig growing at Boekenhoutfontein, the former farm and homestead of Paul Kruger. Leaves of this species are said to exude a characteristic pea odour when crushed. |
