Description
English: Rio Mantaro, Peru. On its way from Lima to Huancayo the Ferrocarril Central Andino passes the highest point reached by a railway in the Americas (4871m) and plunges then into the valley of the Río Mantaro. This picture has been taken about 20km after the mining city of La Oroya.
