This landmark was set aside as a park in the mid-1850s by Jesse Fell and other co-owners. The park officially became a public property in 1898. The town constructed a water tower in the park in 1898 and built brick sidewalks on the park perimeter in the early 1900s. It was designated a Local Landmark of the town of Normal on October 20, 2003. |
