English: Fan lines, track error and approximate correction angle.
For example, if the aircraft is 10 degrees off course after travelling 2/3 of the leg, the correction angle is "approximately" 25 degrees (10X2.5). Therefore the pilot should change the heading 25 degrees towards the destination (B). This method could be used in conjunction with 1 in 60 rule. |
