Deutsch: Südostansicht der röm.-kath. Pfarrkirche hl. Jakobus d. Ä. in der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Falkenstein.
Der Saalbau mit reich gegliederter Giebelfassade und einem mittelalterlichen Wehrturm (13. Jh.) ist nach Westen ausgerichtet. Um 1670 erfolgte der Neubau der Kirche unter teilweiser Verwendung von Mauerwerk der Vorgängerkirche, beispielsweise der Strebepfeiler des Chores. Die unteren Geschosse des Wehrturmes sind romanisch und das Obergeschoss gotisch. |
