✓[OK] Public domain (verified). On Monday November 29, 2021, User:Flask contacted the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) regarding the copyright status of this photograph. On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, MNHS representative Jenny McElroy replied and confirmed that "the photograph was produced in approximately 1897" and is "in the public domain." "Thank you for your message, and I'm happy to help! ... The photograph was produced in approximately 1897, so it is considered to be in the public domain. ... The photo you mentioned can be used online with no additional paperwork as long as it is being used at or below the low-resolution of the version available from our Collections Online system. For digital projects we also ask—though do not require—that the project link back to the image in our systems."
