    In Bruges in Flanders well-known / have been three lover-brothers burnt /
    two with rods well-beaten, too / and two been driven away (two were exiled? two could flee?) /
    for they had been young and inexperienced / and had been seduced by their elders /
    that they had fornicated with their body / practiced in injustice (i.e. sin).
    28 July in the year of the Lord 1528
