DescriptionEve - one of the Beckhampton Longstones - geograph.org.uk - 1098184.jpg
English: Eve - one of the Beckhampton Longstones This standing sarsen stone, known locally as 'Eve', is one of a pair called the Beckhampton Longstones. This stone is the only remaining stone in the Beckhampton Avenue, a megalithic avenue emanating from the west side of the Avebury henge (in the same way that the Kennet Avenue leads south from the henge). The other nearby stone, known as Adam, was part of a cove close by the Beckhampton Avenue.
