Galego: Estandarte de seda bordada, composto polo escudo de Galicia e a Cruz de Santiago, conserva parte da lenda que dicía: "AUSPICE DEO PRO LIBERTATE REGIS.PALLADIS LEGIO. ANNO MDCCCVIII". Sobre a lenda vemos unha coroa e na parte inferior hai dúas pólas de palma unidas que simbolizan a vitoria. Consérvase no marco que o rei Afonso XIII regalou á Universidade trala súa restauración (foi restaurada na Real Fábrica de Tapices de Aranjuez). O estandarte representaba o chamado Batallón Literario, unha milicia estudantil formada en 1808 para facer fronte á invasión napoleónica. |
