Description
Español: Escudo de armas de la ciudad de Ameca, Jalisco, México.

El escudo está rematado en su parte superior con la torre de la presidencia municipal de Ameca.

En su contorno interior se leen las leyendas de “Nobleza, Progreso y Trabajo” las cuales están representadas en el centro del escudo con los símbolos de un engranaje, un libro y una mano sosteniendo una espiga de maíz.

Debajo de estos símbolos aparece la etimología náhuatl de Ameca.

Al fondo se aprecia la orografía en donde se asienta la cabecera municipal y las figuras estilizadas de un río y una flor de lis.

El río es una alusión al significado del nombre del municipio; y la flor de lis simboliza la nobleza de los amequenses.
