Description
Español: Escudo de Nacimiento, Chile: Escudo Español partido en jafa. 1º Mitad: En jefe, en campo de plata, una puerta de gules cuyas ventanas y puertas estan aclaradas de azul, en honor al "Fuerte de Nacimiento", establecido el día 24 de diciembre de 1603 por el Gobernador y capitan General del Reyno de Chile Don Alonso de Ribera, y cuya fundación creó en su contorno la ciudad de Nacimiento. 2º mitad: en campo de oro tres fajas de sinople que corresponde a las del Escudo de Armas del Gobernador y Capitán General Don Alonso de Rivera, fundador de Nacimiento, registradas en el Archivo de las Ordenes Militares de Madrid en 1515, con motivo del ingreso a la Orden Militar de Santiago en el grado de Caballero. Corona de fuerte, de oro, de ocho torres de las cuales cuatro dan a la vista. [1]
