Français : La reine Elisabeth de Bosnie et sa fille Marie de Hongrie se recueillent sur la tombe de leur mari et père Louis Ier de Hongrie, alors que son successeur Charles III de Naples est couronné.
Deutsch: Die verdrängte Königin Maria von Ungarn mit ihrer Mutter Elisabeth in der Grabkapelle ihres Vaters Ludwig dem Großen; gezwungen der Krönung des Usurpators Karl Durazzo im Dome zu Stuhlweißenburg zuzuschauen. Während die Tochter mit ihren Tränen den Sarkophag betrauert, blickt die Königin-Mutter empört und rachesinnend in das sich im hohen Chor abspielende Prunkfest.
