Summary

Description
English: Apples and Atoms (2013)[1], a memorial to Ernest Walton, Professor of Natural and Experimental Philosophy, Trinity College, Dublin (1946-1974) by Eilís O'Connell. Walton with John Cockcroft, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1951. The memorial itself is a representation of the transmutation of a lithium and a hydrogen atom into two helium atoms.
