| Description |
English: Erigeron karvinskianus, an invasive introduced species on Réunion island originally coming from Mexico, is a pioneer plant, the first to grow along the edges of the Route du Volcan (“the Volcano Road”) which leads to the Piton de la Fournaise and which have been red-colored (1,5 % iron oxyd added in the tar) for better suiting with the natural colors of the volcanic rocks.
Français : Erigeron karvinskianus, une espèce originaire du Mexique introduite à l'île de La Réunion island où elle est devenue invasive, est une plante pionnière, la première à coloniser les bords de la Route du Volcan qui mène au Piton de la Fournaise et qui a été colorée en rouge (1,5 % d'oxyde de fer ajouté au goudron) pour une meilleure harmonie avec les couleurs naturelles des roches volcaniques. |
