Summary

Description
English: On 14 February 2011, around 100 independent trade unionists held a protest in front of the headquarters of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation, denouncing the federation president Hussein Megawer, a businessman and close associate of Hosni Mubarak. The protesters tried to enter the lobby of the building peacefully, only to be met with glass bottles, rocks, sticks and fire extinguishers. The military police arrived after half an hour of ongoing clashes and arrested a person from the ETUF.
