Summary

Description Stone carving by Mawer and Ingle on the exterior of Endcliffe Hall, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The building was designed by Flockton and Abbot for Sir John Brown (1816-1896), and erected 1863-1865. Part of frieze, featuring the conical or volute spring, invented by John Brown.
