Empire of Liberty: A History of the Early Republic, 1789–1815

Purpose of use

Illustrate educational article on the topic, a book about United States history. The image significantly contributes to a user's understanding of the article which cannot be achieved otherwise.

Replaceable?

As a book cover, the image isn't replaceable with free content. Any other image depicting its packaging would also be copyrighted. Any version of the image not true to the original would result in misidentification and inhibit the purpose of the article, which is to provide meaningful commentary on the work.
