Summary

Description
English: This is a painting of Emishi (left) paying homage to Prince Shotoku (right) (1321–4). It is a precursor to Ainu genre painting. A copy of the artwork was made from an Emaki-mono (illustrated handscroll) called "Shotokutaishi e-den e-maki" in 1324. The original dates from 1069.
