Summary

Description

Operated by 2º/6º GAv, Braziliian Air Force (FAB) and based at Anápolis. The R-99 is a 'remote sensing' conversion of the popular Emb145 regional jet. It employs a synthetic aperture radar, combination electro-optical and FLIR systems as well as a multi-spectral scanner. The aircraft also possesses signal intelligence and C3I capabilities. It was originally designated the R-99B but this was changed to R-99 in 2008. c/n 145140. Seen departing the 2013 RIAT at RAF Fairford.
