DescriptionElla Pirrie statue, Belfast City Hospital - geograph.org.uk - 939600.jpg
English: Ella Pirrie statue, Belfast City Hospital. Statue in the grounds of Belfast City Hospital (see 935083).
Ella Pirrie was the first head nurse of the Belfast Infirmary, taking up the post in 1883. She had earlier trained as a nurse with Florence Nightingale (I think this would have been at the Nightingale Training School at St Thomas's Hospital, London). See also 3489873 for some related images.
