Deutsch: Wappen von Bayern, Stifterin Elisabeth von Bayern-Landshut, Gemahlin des Burggrafen von Nuremberg Friedrich VI. – als Kurfürst von Brandenburg Friedrich I., zu deren Hauptresidenzen die Cadolzburg zählte. 1426 zog sich Friedrich I. hierhin zurück. 1850 machte der preußische Jurist und Geschichtsforscher Julius v. Minutoli das im Zuge seiner Forschungen über Friedrich I. wiederentdeckte Werk publik. Nach dessen Besichtigung 1873 und auf seinen dringenden Wunsch erhielt Kronprinz Friedrich (III.), diesen als Geschenk. |
