Description
English: Marguerite van Berchem (later Gautier-van Berchem) at the age of three months with her mother Lucile Élisabeth, née Frossard de Saugy, who died a few months later. Marguerite (1892-1984) followed her father, the epigraphist Max van Berchem, to become an art historian and archaeologist, in addition to volunteering in high positions at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). From the collections of the Max van Berchem Foundation.
