Description
English: Detail from miniature titled A Bathhouse Keeper is Consumed by Passion for his Beloved from Folio from a Khamsa (Quintet) of Amir Khusrau Dihlavi, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MET DP120806. Elephants in war in India, Central Asia and the Near East wore bells in war, called Zang in Persian. Visible at larger bells worn on the neck, and a row of smaller bells hanging from a collar.
