Summary

Description
English: Electricity percentage worldwide by source on a semilog scale. Constant rates of increase or decrease plot as straight lines on a semilog plot. By 2012, solar power accounted for 0.41% of electricity, and wind power 2.32%. Hydroelectricity accounted for 16.32%, and nuclear power 11.01%. At current rates of increase (and decrease), solar power would reach 100% by 2025, hydropower would reach 22.50%, wind power would reach 15.95%, and nuclear power would decline to 3.47%. Data from EIA. This file may be updated annually.
