that a standard oil tank can be rolled under theoil outlet when it is desired to drain the case. The stick-type circuit breakers with enclosed fuses wereadopted for the substation primary circuits because no sub-station attendance was expected; such breakers when sel-dom operated are less likely to get out of order than oilswitches. The heavy time lag is also desirable so that thegenerating station breakers may have every chance to openfirst on an overload.
