Probably painted for Henry VIII; recorded in the 1547 Whitehall inventory and in Privy Gallery at Whitehall in 1639 (no 65); sold for £10 to Jackson and others on 23 October 1651 from there (no 41); recovered at the Restoration and listed in the 2nd Privy Lodging Room at Whitehall in 1666 (no 203)
