Summary

Description Postcard photo of the El Paso and Southwestern's locomotive #1 on permanent display in El Paso, Texas. The locomotive was built in 1857 by Breese and Kneeland. It originally was owned by the Milwaukee and Prairie Du Chein Railroad, becoming part of the Milwaukee Road when the Milwaukee and Prairie Du Chein railroad merged with that line. El Paso and Southwestern bought the locomotive and it was in service for then until 1903. It was refurbished in 1909.
