DescriptionEglwys Llanhywel- Llanhowell church - geograph.org.uk - 425460.jpg
English: St Hywel's Church (Eglwys Llanhywel) in Llanhowell. An out-of-the-way church, parts dating from C12-14 but much restored in the 1890s. It is likely there was an even earlier monastic settlement here: inside there is an inscribed stone from C5/6, found nearby.
Hywel was a Breton saint who appears in the Mabinogion.
