Summary

Description
English: This is a modification of Solar system escape velocity vs surface temperature.svg It shows whereabouts on the diagram Mars would sit if it was at a similar (slightly cooler) temperature to Earth as it is thought to have been in the past (due to evidence of liquid water on the surface) and as terraforming proponents would like it to be in the future. It shows that at these temperatures oxygen and nitrogen would escape much faster than they do today.
