Summary

Description Dr. Edward Freeman (PhD, 1905) was, in 1907, the founder of the Plant Pathology Department. He was its intellectual leader. He recruited E.C. Stakman and was his graduate advisor and lifetime mentor. Freeman served as both Dean of the College of Agriculture and Head of Plant Pathology until his retirement in 1943.
