English: Edward Haight stands between Bedford Village, New York's Police Chief Frank Mallette (left) and Connecticut State Trooper Charles Flanagan (right), who arrested him for the murders of Helen and Margaret Lynch the day prior. (The murders took place on September 14, 1942, and Haight was arrested on September 15, while the photos were published on September 16.)
