Deutsch: „Kredenz-Szene“: Künstlerisch überhöhte Darstellung einer historischen Bierprobe am Nockherberg in München (an einem 2. April zwischen 1778 und 1795). Paulaner Braumeister Frater Barnabas reicht Kurfürst Karl Theodor einen Krug mit Salvator-Starkbier. Die Inschrift unten im Bild lautet: „Salve pater patriae“ (lat. „Sei gegrüßt, Vater des Vaterlands“).
English: "Kredenz-Szene": Artistically dramatised depiction of a historical beer testing at the Munich Nockherberg (on an April 2 between 1778 and 1795). Paulaner brewer Friar Barnabas presents Prince-Elector Charles Theodore with a mug of Salvator-Bock. The inscription reads: "Salve pater patriae" (Latin "Hail, father of the fatherland").
