Nederlands: Autoriteit Consument & Markt past de mededingingsregels niet correct toe bij ziekenhuisfusies, stelt Edith Loozen, universitair docent mededingingstoezicht bij iBMG-EUR. Het wettelijk toetsingskader wordt steevast losgelaten en dat is niet in het belang van patiënten.
Een goed voorbeeld is de fusie tussen het Lievensberg ziekenhuis in Bergen op Zoom en het St. Franciscus ziekenhuis in Roosendaal waar het op 3 punten misgaat: de afbakening van de relevante markt, het hanteren van een toekomstige mededingingssituatie en het zonder meer overnemen van de standpunten van verzekeraars. Het beroep dat NPCF tegen dit goedkeuringsbesluit heeft aangespannen komt binnenkort voor de rechter. |
