DescriptionEdgartown Harbor Light - New Paint 1988.jpg
English: Substantial funds were required to turn this rusted, graffiti covered lighthouse into something the community of Martha's Vineyard would be proud of. After the Edgartown Harbor Light came under the care of Vineyard Environmental Research, Institute (VERI), money was raised with the help of some high profile members from the island community. The visual transformation of this lighthouse reflects local pride and support for the island's maritime history and culture.
