Summary

Description
English: Eastern portal, Foulridge tunnel Entry to this mile long tunnel on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal is controlled by light signals, each direction having a ten minute window every hour. The red and white striped bar above the entrance is a height gauge preventing entry of boats over a certain height because of low points in the tunnel roof.
