Description
English: Looking into East Germany from a platform near Grasleben. I was on my way to Heidwinkel, where I was stationed in the Army from August 1960 to May 1961. These locations are north of Helmstedt. I took this photo in July 1989. I did not know that the Wall would come down in less than four months.
